The Other Guy’s Not Better Than You

Jealous Much?

Have you ever felt jealous of someone else’s success?

They’ve done something you always wanted to do…

traveled to China, learned kayaking, wrote a book…

and you thought to yourself, “I’ll bet I could do that.”

Well, you know what?  You could.

What’s the Secret?

The difference between the person who figured out

a way to get to China and you is that person figured

out a way to get to China and went.

The difference between the person who learned to

kayak and you is the person learned how to kayak.

The difference between the person who wrote a

book and you is the person wrote a book.

That’s it.

Getting Busy

Yes, I’m over-simplifying, but not by much.

Getting busy may not be the only difference

between you and the person who got something

done that you want to do, but it’s the truly

important difference.

There isn’t anything special about people

who accomplish things.

They Don’t Wear Halos

They usually aren’t any more talented or

blessed than you are.  Sometimes they are.

But some have even more disadvantages

and challenges than you have.

Stop comparing yourself and start deciding

what YOU want to do in your life.

Then start doing it or figure out how to do it.

If you don’t know how, ask for help, and be ready

to work to make your dreams a reality.

If you really want to learn how to do something,

you will be amazed at how many people out

there are willing to help you learn.

Then you can become the inspiration for

someone else to fulfill a dream!

We are working on the Chapter in A Year to Change

called “Taking a ‘Duh’ Step” so you can begin to make

your dreams turn into reality one easy step at a time.

Come join me in making positive change a reality

in your life.  It’s not only possible, it’s a lot of fun!
